I love books about Disney. The history of Disney, the parks, even fiction like The Kingdom Keepers series. Lately though, I have been interested in books that give me new ways to experience Disneyland Resort. Since we visit the parks often, it is fun to be able to find new ways to experience the park. So today I am sharing with you the Best Books for Disneyland In Park Activities.
I have three books that I love for in park activities. Each book is great to use by itself, but they are different enough that you can use them all in the same trip as well.
The first is one that any parent will appreciate. If you have ever been to Disneyland, you know the hardest part with children is waiting in lines. Keeping children entertained in lines can be tough. Especially if you do not want to break out the electronic devices. That is why I love the “Lots To Do In Line” Books.
The next book is written in a similar fashion, and while it will sometimes include the queue lines in the parks, you will be able to use these activities on rides, and other areas of the parks as well.
Hidden Mickeys (if they exist…) are a lot of fun to try and find. These guides let you know where to look for these best kept secret that is not really a secret. Best yet, there are books for Disneyland, Walt Disney World, AND Disney Cruise Lines! Fair warning- once you start looking for hidden Mickeys, you will find them EVERYWHERE! (I have even seen one in an anti-depressant commercial.)
You can order the Disneyland edition HERE, the newest Walt Disney World edition Here (pictured above), and the Disney Cruise Line Version HERE.
Maybe you have already done the Hidden Mickeys, and you have see all there is to see in line. Maybe you go to Disneyland 3-4 times a year like us, and while you find these things interesting, you want even more! Well, my newest obsession is this…
Seen, Un-Seen Disneyland is a book by Russell D. Flores that goes into all the things at Disneyland that we see at Disneyland, but may not notice. All the little details. This book is also filled with great pictures. If you are a seasoned Disneylander (yes that is a term), then you will enjoy this new way to look at the parks during your next visit. You can order Seen, Un-Seen Disneyland HERE.
I hope that one of these books sounds interesting to you for your next Disney vacation. They make your visit a lot of fun, almost like a scavenger hunt.
