It is no secret that my family loves both Disney and board games. In fact, we have two full walk-in closets full of games, and Disney… well, that speaks for itself. When these two favorites collide, we are one happy family. But are all Disney games worth the money? Which ones are the best? Let me help you out as I have played A LOT of Disney games.

Best Disney Board Games

Large pile of Disney Board Games

Disney Board Games are often quite spendy, especially compared to their non-Disney equals, but which games are worth the money to have that Disney feel, and which ones are a pass. I have also included our wishlist and other Disney games that have caught my eye.

Take a look and find a new Disney game for yourself or to give as a gift.

Best Disney Board Games

These are the best Disney Board Games you may want to pick up for yourself or to give as a gift. I will note which ones I have played frequently, and which ones I personally own, as well as what ages I think they are good for. So let's get started!

Villanous

This is an original game, starring our favorite Disney villains. The game is a bit overwhelming and first, but is a great strategy game. Best suited for adults, but older kids will enjoy it too.
This game also has several expansion packs available, all listed below.

1

Ravensburger Disney Villainous Strategy Board Game for Age 10 & Up - 2019 TOTY Game of The Year Award Winner

2

Ravensburger Marvel Villainous: Infinite Power Strategy Board Game for Ages 12 & Up - The Next Chapter of Villainous

3

Ravensburger UK 26290 Ravensburger Disney Wicked to The Core Kids & Adults Age 10 Years and Up-Can be Played as a Stand-Alone or Expansion to The Popular Villainous Strategy Game

4

Ravensburger 26291 Disney Villainous-Evil Comes Prepared-Expansion Pack,

5

Ravensburger 26843 Disney Perfectly Wretched Kids & Adults Age 10 Years and Up-Can be Played as a Stand-Alone or Expansion to The Popular Villainous Strategy Game

Favorite Games Based on Rides

These games are based on rides, and are some of our families favorites. Please note we are not including any Monopoly games here.

6

Funko Disney The Haunted Mansion – Call of The Spirits Board Game

This is my family's latest game, and while it was overwhelming when we first read the instructions, it was SO MUCH FUN! It took us about 2 rounds of turns to get it down, but then it was great! This is a strategy game, and my 10-year-old played it well (came in second place). Replay value is high.

7

Ravensburger Disney Jungle Cruise Adventure Game for Ages 8 & Up - Amazon Exclusive

My family had really high hopes for this game. We liked it, but it had a bit too much going on, as in "keep the instructions handy." Reading the jokes we all love from the ride was fun, but that only lasted one or two games. We do still play this game here and there, and it is a great game for kids who are just starting to do strategy games.

Other Family Favorites

These next ones are games my family owns and has played multiple times. I would say these are a good investment. (Not that others are not, just these are OUR favorites). Again, I am not listing any of the Monopoly versions here.

8

Codenames Disney Family Edition | Best Family Board Game, Great Game for All Ages | Featuring Disney Characters, Disney Artwork | Board Game for 2 Players or More | Perfect for Disney Fans

We love this one and my son started playing it at age 8. A great family game based off the popular original "CODENAMES"

9

Disney Colorbrain, The Ultimate Board Game for Families who Love Disney

My family really likes this one because it is easy. Even though it says ages 8+, you can easily adapt the game to play with much younger kids.

10

Spin Master Games, Disney HedBanz 2nd Edition Board Game

My family loves a good game of Hedbanz. We don't personally have the Disney one, but our friends do (and we have played it with them a lot), and my kids always complain that I won't buy a 3rd version of this game to get the Disney one. I just might have to invest in this one for myself.

11

USAOPOLY Munchkin: Disney Card Game/Munchkin Game Featuring Disney Characters and Villains/Officially Licensed Disney Card Game/Tabletop Games & Board Games for Disney Fans

We have only played this once, with a family member, but shhh.... we are getting it for Christmas.

12

Mattel Games Disney Apples to Apples Game

Another favorite! My kids love playing Apples to Apples, and while Disney doesn't have a junior version (that I have found) we have easily adapted the regular Disney version to work for our kids that are just learning how to read. This is one all 5 of us love to play together.

13

Hasbro Gaming Scrabble Junior: Disney Junior Edition Board Game, Double -Sided Game Board, Matching and Word Game (Amazon Exclusive)

I love this game! We actually scored this one at a thrift shop for $1.99, but it was missing a few letters. Ordered some Scrabble letters off of Amazon, and we were good to go. I would have bought this one even at full price. One side of the board has a junior version of the game (words already spelled out, and you are placing your letters to spell that word) the other has a regular Scrabble board so you can play regular Scrabble. That is a huge win!

14

Ravensburger World of Disney Eye Found It Board Game for Boys and Girls Ages 4 and Up - A Fun Family Game You'll Want to Play Again and Again

My kids love the Eye Found It games. They have the card game (travel version) and this one and love them both.

15

World of Disney Eye Found It Card Game

This is the card only version of Disney Eye Found It.
Fun tip: the scenes on the cards can be combined to create larger scenes. Sometimes my kids just play with that part of the game.

16

Disney Sketchy Tales Game - Magical Disney Games for Kids - Draw Your Favorite Disney Characters - Fun for Kids and Adults

Okay, we also don't have this game, but it is going to be here for Christmas. However, we do have Telestrations, which is basically the same thing, and we love that game. It is a mixture of dictionary and the game telephone... so much fun!

17

Disney Shadowed Kingdom Game

This one is going to be in my son's stocking this year because we borrowed it from a friend and he loved it so much.

18

Disney Junior Surprise Slides Game

There are several versions of this game, but this is the one we have, which also happens to be the cheapest at the time I made this list.

Surprise slides is a fun game because the board game will change as you go. It is very similar to chutes and ladders, but there are 4 pieces that can be removed, flipped over, or switched around to change the path of the board game.

This is a great game for preschoolers and up.

Disney Board Games on our Wishlist

These are Disney board games that are on our wishlist.

19

Ravensburger Disney Hocus Pocus: The Game for Ages 8 an Up - A Cooperative Game of Magic and Mayhem

I love Hocus Pocus and really want this board game.

20

Meme the Game - Disney Version

This one just looks like so much fun!

21

USAopoly USOGO004000 Disney Geek Out, Multicolour

I am still thinking I might grab this one for Christmas... What do you think? Should I?

22

Funkoverse: Disney The Nightmare Before Christmas 100 4-Pack Board Game - Amazon First to Market Exclusive, Multicolor

My oldest LOVES the Nightmare Before Christmas so this is on our list. It is a strategy game as well, and I always feel those have a high replay value.

23

Cardinal Disney Family Feud Game Box, Multicolor

This is an expansion of the Family Feud game you can buy, but you can basically just use this to play the game if you also buy some game buzzers.

24

Pictopia-Family Trivia Game: Disney Edition

This is a picture based trivia game, and we have played a similar game, so I love this one. The fact that it is picture based means even early readers can play it.

25

USAOPOLY Kingdom Hearts Talisman Competitive Board Game | Based on The Talisman Magical Quest Game | Official Kingdom Hearts Licensed Merchandise | Disney Kingdom Hearts 3 | KH3

Guys, don't tell my husband that there is a board game that incorporates Kingdom Hearts because he would be begging for it. This one is definitely on our wishlist as we have played Talisman before and really enjoyed it. This is another strategy game, with high replay value.

26

Spin Master Games Disney Aladdin Board Game, for Families and Kids Ages 4 and Up, Multicolor (6052261)

In researching for this post, I found this game (and the one below) that look super interesting, and kind of got me all nostalgic for the movies I grew up with.

27

Retro '90s Disney Lion King Board Game - Deluxe Wooden Edition

Another 90's movie-based game, this one looks really cool with the board game. You have to at least go check out what the board looks like, even if you don't buy it.

28

Wonder Forge Disney Pixar The Incredibles Save The Day Game Board for Boys & Girls Age 6 & Up

I love cooperative games. This reminds me of a game we have called Break the Safe. In this one, you work together to save the day and rescue Jack Jack. Most likely picking this one up for my family as well. Huge win- it is under $20 as of when I wrote this article.

29

Spin Master Games – Disney Pixar Fanimation

I love that this game is Pixar based as we are big Pixar fans in my family. This game has variations using games, you can customize game length (a huge plus for those with shorter attention spans), and more.

30

Disney Frozen 2, Rumbling Rock Game for Kids and Families

Santa is bringing this one for my twins for Christmas. You are racing up the mountain, but may have boulders come down at you. My twins (age 5) love these types of games.

31

Disney Pixar Toy Story 4 Trash Bin Bonanza Game with Woody and Forky

Okay, we had a game very similar to this called Flippin' Frogs, but sadly it broke. That game, we kind of looked at our son funny when he wanted to get it at the thrift store for $2.99, but it turned out to be so much fun. This is a similar game where you try to catapult Forky's into the trash. I think we might have to get this one to replace that one.

32

Disney Pixar Outta Order - The Game of Mixed-up Characters

This is the last one on our short list of games we want (because let's be real, I really want all the Disney games). This one looks like a fun game for the whole family.

Other Disney Games For Kids Under 12

Here are a few more Disney Games I would suggest, these ones specifically for kids under 12. I am not including Monopoly Junior.

33

Hasbro Gaming Yahtzee Jr.: Disney Princess Edition Board Game for Kids Ages 4 and Up, for 2-4 Players, Counting and Matching Game for Preschoolers (Amazon Exclusive)

My kids like Yahtzee but it takes too long for them. Yahtzee Jr is just right for them. This is the current Disney version I found.

34

Ravensburger Disney Frozen 2 Junior Labyrinth Family Game for Boy & Girls Age 4 & Up! -The Classic Moving Maze Game (20416)

My oldest loves the Labyrinth game, I think adding characters they love, and a easier version of the game would be perfect for my twins who are five.

35

Hasbro Gaming Don't Break The Ice Disney Frozen 2 Edition Game for Kids Ages 3 and Up, Featuring Elsa and The Water Nokk (Amazon Exclusive)

We have this game based off the first Frozen movie and my kids love it. Something about putting the characters on it makes it more interesting to them then the regular don't break the ice??? I don't know.

36

Disney Pixar Toy Story 4 Pop-Up Board Game

There are a lot of Disney versions of Trouble, so I chose the least expensive one to put on this list. We personally have a Frozen one, but you can click through and explore all the versions.

37

Operation Game: Star Wars Edition

Much like Trouble, there are several Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, etc versions of Operation. Again, I chose the least expensive one for this list, but you can definitely explore others. They even have a Mandolorian based one, but when I clicked it said out of stock and not expected back in stock for quite a long while.

38

Disney Junior 6-in-1 Game Collection

I love that this has multiple games in one box.

Disney Versions of Monopoly

My family owns a Pixar Monopoly game, but there are so many amazing Disney versions of Monopoly, I wanted to list a wide variety of them for you, so you can find one based on your favorite characters, etc.

39

Monopoly Junior: Disney Princess Edition Board Game for Kids Ages 5 and Up, Play as Moana, Rapunzel, Mulan, or Cinderella (Amazon Exclusive)

Monopoly Junior for the Princess Lover

40

Monopoly: Star Wars The Child Edition Board Game for Families and Kids Ages 8 and Up, Featuring The Child, Who Fans Call Baby Yoda

This one is not expected in stock until January 2021, but how can you not want this with The Child on the box...

41

Disney World Theme Park Pop-Up Edition Monopoly Game

The ultimate Disney Parks fan version...

42

Hasbro Gaming Monopoly: Disney Villains Edition Board Game for Kids Ages 8 and Up, Play as a Classic Disney Villain

Villains themed version...

43

Monopoly: Pixar Edition Board Game for Kids 8 and Up, Buy Locations from Disney and Pixar's Toy Story, The Incredibles, Up, Coco, and More (Amazon Exclusive)

We have a Pixar version and love it. Ours is older and doesn't include Coco though, which is one of my favorite movies so... maybe I will break my rule and buy a second version of Monopoly

44

Monopoly Disney Nightmare Before Christmas Board Game | Collectible Monopoly Tim Burton Nightmare Before Christmas Movie | Collectible Monopoly Tokens

For The Nightmare Before Christmas Fan

45

Monopoly: Star Wars The Mandalorian Edition Board Game, Protect The Child (Baby Yoda) from Imperial Enemies

This is another one that isn't in stock, but is taking orders.

46

Monopoly: Star Wars Complete Saga Edition Board Game for Kids Ages 8 & Up

Monopoly Complete Saga Edition

47

Monopoly Marvel 80th Anniversary Collector Edition

Avengers Assemble...

48

Disney Animation Edition Monopoly

For those that love Disney Animation

Other games to check out

Here are a few other Disney themed games you may want to check out. There are still tons more, but these are ones that caught my eye as I was researching for this article.

49

Disney PIXAR Toy Story 4 KerPlunk

My family loves a good game pf Kerplunk, so why not make it Disney Pixar themed?

50

Disney Pixar Toy Story Cooperative Deck-Building Game | Family Board Game Featuring Characters and Artwork from Toy Story Movies and Short Films | Officially Licensed Disney Pixar Merchandise

This one looked really interesting and I am debating picking it up myself.

51

Top Trumps Disney Classic Quiz Game

My husband is so good at movie trivia, he really would love this game.

52

Disney Pop-Up Magic Frozen Game

This one looked really interesting and was not a bad price.

53

Disney Lion King Pumbaa Pass Game for Families, Teens, and Adults

My kids love the kind of games where you are "feeding" pieces into something so this caught my eye.

54

Spin Master Games - Cars 3 - Risky Raceway - Board Game

Another one that looked unique and interesting

55

Spin Master Games Disney Beat The Parents Board Game - Who Knows Disney Best?

Who doesn't love a good game of Beat the Parents. This one is low in stock and price may vary as itis an older game.

56

Risk: Star Wars Edition Game

The game of Risk with a Star Wars twist.

57

Something Wild! Disney Mickey & Friends - Mickey Mouse Card Game - Christmas Stocking Stuffer

This is really cheap, and a great stocking stuffer or Birthday gift idea.

58

Disney Magic Kingdom Game

This one is spendy, but a collector's item, and a big one for Disney park fans. I might have to quickly buy this before I put this article out...
