One thing I really struggle with after vacation is what to do with all of those photos. I am awful at getting them in scrapbooks, and especially awful at making digital photo books. I often print photos and then they just sit there. Oh, and don’t even get me started on how instagram and having a good cell phone camera has made it even harder for me to do something more than post a photo to facebook.

When Oriental Trading Company asked me to try out some of their craft supplies, I knew this was the perfect time to change that.

First, can I just say that I had no clue that Oriental Trading Company had so many awesome craft supplies? I was totally overwhelmed looking through all of the options. I always thought of them for party supplies and decor, not for craft supplies. I found a lot of stuff that is now on my wish list from their site.
The package arrived while I was on vacation in Disneyland. I was so excited to get home and open it up.

Did you know that Oriental Trading Company had all of this fun stuff? I had ordered these frames and really, a few of them I had no clue what I wanted to do with them, but with the big, open one on top, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it. I wanted to make a clothes line photo display.

For the project I used a frame with a 12″ x 18″ opening, blue paint and mini clothes pins in bright colors all from Oriental Trading company. I also used some wire found in the Walmart Jewelry Crafts section, super glue and a push pin.
After I painted the frame blue, I measured down where I wanted my wires to go across. I used a pushpin to make the holes because it just so happened this was the perfect size hole for the wire.

Next, I put my clothes pins on my wire. I chose to use yellow and red because they felt more Disney to me, but you can do whatever colors you want.

Notice that I ran the wire through the metal spring so the clothes pins are secure.
So, here is where I admit that after I thought of an easier way to do this. Instead of putting the clothespins on first, insert the wire to one side of the frame first (measuring a bit long for the frame before cutting it). It was hard to put the wire on the side of the frame with clothes pins already on it.

My wire was really secure in the holes, but because it was going in the Goof’s room, to make sure it was secure, I added some super glue in the hole before putting it in, and around the wire after putting it in.

Attach the wire to the other side (be sure you have all your clothes pins on) of the frame.

Now all I had left to do was print my instagram photos (you can do this super easy by installing Walgreen’s phone app) and clip them up.

Now we can easily rotate out new and old photos, and have a cute display for the Goof’s room.
Are you wondering what I did with those other frames? Well, here are some other photo display options for you.

I took the other frames, and simply using paint (and painters tape to help keep the borders of the colors clean, but I still had to touch up) I did this….

What are those exactly?

I am still working on my shadow box and promise to share pictures when it is done. Still want another fun way to share your Disney photos. I have a tutorial for a Disney Photo Block that is perfect for your office desk.
