Even though I have been blogging for almost 7 years, (WOW that long already) my most detailed, and popular series, Disneyland 101 was written originally in 2014 as a way to give you extremely detailed information for your first or fiftieth Disneyland visit. While you can easily find the Disneyland 101 posts under our Disneyland tab or by searching Disneyland 101, I wanted a “main page” where guests could come to find this popular series. Below you will find a small break down of each installment with a link to the full post.
I try to keep these posts updated as much as possible, but as the blog has expanded to include other travel destinations and other content, it has become harder to keep up with all of the changes. If there is a change you would like to bring to my attention, please feel free to email me at email@example.com and I will update it with the most current information available from Disney Parks.
After checking out the posts (or maybe even before) if you want to book a hotel, I strongly suggest checking out our friends at Get Away Today. They have a lot of great deals on packages, you can do a layaway plan starting for only $125 (depending on travel dates), and they can add in tons of extras. You can check out all their great deals by CLICKING HERE. You can also book vacations to other great vacation destinations. (I am an affiliate for Get Away Today which means when you book through my link, I earn a small commission- but you still get the same great price!)

The Disneyland 101 Part 1 post contains general information about the parks, the layout, the hotels, and has more detailed information about parking, bag check, and the picnic area. Basically a general over view and everything that happens outside of the parks.
Disneyland 101 Part 2 is a detailed description of Disneyland park. It breaks down the different lands and lets you know where to find your favorite rides. This is great for those who are visiting for the first time or who have not been in a while.
Disneyland 101 Part 3 dives into all the non-ride entertainment you can experience inside of Disneyland park. Find information on Fantasmic, parades, Mickey and the Magical Map, and more.
Disneyland 101 Part 4 breaks down the lands and areas of Disney California Adventure Park much like part 2 did for Disneyland. If you have never been to this park, this is what you will want to read before your first visit. If you have not been since the big remodel, check it out! Lots of good info here
Disneyland 101 Part 5 covers the numerous offerings for entertainment at the Disney California Adventure Theme Park. Entertainment options are plentiful in this park, and catching every performance is a challenge for even a those who visit for an entire week. We help break down the many options so you can start planning what you want to see the most.
Disneyland 101 Part 6 is the one you NEED to read. This is the one that breaks down fastpasses, parent swap, getting those awesome buttons, and the most popular tidbit- how to combine parent swap and fastpass in order to fastpass more than one ride at a time. YES! It can be done and it is totally legit. You are not going to get kicked out of the happiest place on earth for doing it.
Disneyland 101 Part 7 is where we look at the different thrill rides of the Disneyland Resort. We give you an overview of the different rides and who may or may not like them.
Disneyland 101 Part 8 is the result of having a short kid! This post is a break down of all the ride height requirements in a simple format, and includes a free printable that you can take with you to the park that is much easier to read then the park map when figuring out what your child can ride.
Disneyland 101 Part 9 is an overview of the character dining experiences you will find at the Disneyland Resort. From the cost, to the food, and even what characters you might see there, we have broken it down.
Disneyland 101 Part 10 is the final installment of the original Disneyland 101 series that ran in 2014. It covers where to find your favorite characters. We try to keep this post updated, but as we all know, characters like to wander and roam the parks, and you won’t always find them in your assigned areas, and new characters are constantly joining the cast. Use this post as a guideline, and if you want more information be sure to stop by city hall to get a list of character appearances for the day of your visit.
Additional Disneyland 101 posts include:

That is our complete, Disneyland 101 series…for now. Expect more as Disneyland is adding Star Wars Land, and more changes come to the park.
