Where can I find Star Wars at Disneyland?
There are a couple places to get your Star Wars fix at Disneyland. Below I break down what you can find where.
In Tomorrowland, you can find Star Tours, Star Traders (with Star Wars branded clothing, souvenirs and affordable build your own light saber), as well as the Star Wars Launch Bay where you can meet characters, see memoriablia and more. The Launch Bay is also the official check-in to enter the other area of the park featuring Star Wars.
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (aka Star Wars Land) is a new, immersive land, based on the Star Wars saga. Here guests will be transported to the planet Batuu and get to visit Black Spire outpost.
This is a completely immersive land, and for the time being, requires reservations to enter the land until June 23, 2019. After which, it will utilize a Digital Queue for entry to the land. Be sure to study up on everything about Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge before your visit. Don’t worry, I am going to be coming back with tips, info and so much more!
What should I know about Star Wars before going to Disneyland?
One thing I love about Disneyland is that even if you are not “into” a specific franchise or film series, you can still enjoy those parts of the land. You can enjoy Star Tours having never seen the Star Wars movies (my oldest did for a few years before seeing a Star Wars movie).
I will say that a basic understanding of the concept, and things like what are storm troopers, who is Darth Vader, etc is always great to have, but even that is not necessary to enjoy the attractions and lands featuring Star Wars.
